How To Prevent and Heal Emotional Burnout

When you’re completely overwhelmed by your workload, stress, or both, you may feel like you’re suffering from burnout. You feel like there’s no way out, that you’ll never have enough time to get everything done. Here are some tips for recovering from burnout and getting back on track so you can be more productive in the long run.

Avoid Self-Criticism

One of the most important things you can do when recovering from burnout is to avoid self-criticism. Beating yourself up will only make things worse and hinder your ability to recover. It's important to be gentle with yourself and give yourself time to heal. Get some rest, take a break, and focus on what feels good for you.
